SPORTS SOURCE ASIA
RIGHT ON TARGET
In just two editions, Sports Source Asia has shown that it can unlock the potential of Asia's markets for its exhibitors.
The debut event in 2007 delivered some 6,500 buyers from 89 countries & regions; the 2008 fair brought 237 exhibitors in direct contact with more than 7,800 local and overseas buyers from 100 countries and regions.
Scheduled for the region's peak buying season, this results-oriented event may be young but it already has a track record of excellence as a trading hub which attracts buyers of sports equipment, sports shoes, sportswear and accessories, as well as fabrics and materials.
Sports Source Asia has also proven itself to be a fertile field for growing business relationships in licensing, franchising and other kinds of partnerships.
Making a welcome return this year is the popular Premium Zone. A total of 12 brand names have joined this zone last year in which they can show their premium products in a suitably high-profile setting.
High score from exhibitors
The 2008 exhibitors applauded the quality of the buyers and appreciated the value of the peripheral social and information events.
:We exhibited here last year and got very good feedback. This is why we are back this year with a larger booth. We chose to exhibit in the Premium Zone as this sets us apart. It places us in an area where we・re targeted by people who know what they want. Judging from the results after last year's show, the event has been quite effective in increasing awareness of our brand as well attracting more of our target clientele.;

:This is the fastest channel for us to introduce our products to international buyers, as the organisers have so many buyers from all over the world in their databases. Buyers come here expecting to see newly-developed items; this year they・re interested in our new skateboard. The market response has been very good and I expect many orders from this show.;

SPORTS FEVER IN ASIA
The Beijing Olympics has raised enthusiasm for sports to fever pitch in Asia, Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games and the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou will also keep attention riveted on sports and fitness. As well as being fired by the competitive spirit, the Asian market is growing more health-conscious and enjoying a wider range of outdoor leisure activities.
There is no better way to ride this wave of enthusiasm than by participating in Sports Source Asia. The fair is supported by the China Sporting Goods Federation, Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (TSMA) and Korea Sporting Goods Industry Association (KOSPA).
:I came here to find some products that I・m interested in importing to Australia. The timing fits in well with the Canton Fair. It's important to build up relationships and sometimes you need to keep meeting people to do this. This show is terrific and I・m really enjoying it. There's a good range of products and the prices seem to be reasonable.;

HONG KONG, SPORTS ARENA
Superb trade fair destination; global trading hub; financial and logistics centre; gateway to the Pearl River Delta. All these and more make Hong Kong the ideal location for Sports Source Asia.
:Sports Source Asia is a very interesting place to source all kinds of products, from finished items to fabrics and printing. There are exhibitors from all over the world, which is very good. This is the fair's second year and it's got off to a good start. The fair has been very well put together making it easy for buyers like me to source. There's one company that I had been looking for through other channels and I・ve found them here. I also intend to make some orders.;
Hans Bolli, President, Ski-Man AG, Switzerland
:This has been a new fair for me and it has been worth coming. The selection of suppliers is good and I・ve been able to make direct contact with manufacturers. The fair has made a good impression on me so I will come back.;
